Donny Schmit - Motocross

Bloomington native, Donny Schmit, is widely considered the most accomplished motocross rider to come from Minnesota. His career, which started riding 80s at tracks like Cambridge and Grantsburg, included 125 SX and National wins, 125 and 250 GP wins, and three major championships. He rode for factory Suzuki in the late 80s and a variety of top-level teams at the GP level.
