The purpose of this page is to give a brief introduction to what I do for a living and provide a home for my current, properly formatted resume. Many of the job sites force you into their resume templates, which often results in versions that are incomplete or difficult to read.

My name is Bob Chase. I have been an Application Programmer / Analyst for many years, almost entirely in a environments using Microsoft OS, Databases and Development tools. My environment of choice is C#, SQL Server, and if web-based, ASP.NET and its associated technologies (JavaScript, AJAX)

A Brief History of My Work
I started programming with something once known as Dbase. From there, I moved up the Fox Pro ladder learning object-oriented programming while using various versions of Visual Fox Pro. There were also times when I worked on Web Applications and Sites. My primary web development tools were Classic ASP, VB Script, and VFP programs that produced static HTML. I’ve programmed against VFP, SQL Server, and Oracle databases.

I have worked for a variety of companies, many of them smaller. At one time or another, I've probably worked every step in the development cycle, although the majority of the time was programming and analysis. The applications I worked on were often ERP applications geared towards manufacturers, but I also worked with other industries such as a stock brokerage, a Secretary of State’s office, and one that specialized in ACH transactions.
